My first cabinet shop was founded in 2008 by my cousin and I. Before beginning the family business, we worked at a local cabinet door company, Greer Woodworks, while attending college in 2004. Jim Greer, Owner of Greer Woodworks, was an exceptional woodworker and an even more exceptional person. He showed us the ropes of a well-run system in cabinet door manufacturing, which we took with us when he unfortunately passed away in 2007.
Woodworking was all we knew, so we made the decision to keep his dream alive. Over the years, we grew organically into the custom woodworking shop we are today. We operated for over 12 years as a partnership and celebrated much success together. However, as of January 1, 2020, I made the decision to sell my half of the partnership and focus on serving my customer base on a more personal level. With that, Cabinets Plus Refacing was born. Slow but steady growth in the industry has allowed me to hone in on my woodworking skills, continue attempting to perfect my craft, and provide our customers with some of the highest quality cabinet components in the area.
My wife & I, and our 3 beautiful children, reside in Tyler, TX, and look forward to serving our local community. With over 20 years of woodworking experience, I can help homeowners, remodelers, builders, and other fellow woodworkers in any aspect of their woodworking needs, ranging from custom cabinet doors, custom cabinet refacing to fabrication of completely new custom cabinets.
